Most Common Mistakes A Beginner Make At The Gym

Usually beginners feel awkward on the very first day in the gym. Starting a workout regimen without realizing what you’re performing can make it more intense.

Listed below are the most common issues which you must know about:

Incorrect spotting: If you need any help, immediately ask without any shy. Always, gym rats are more willing to help. It is good to ask before than shouting loudly when you are struggling.

Concerning that you may become too fat: Most of the women think that some gym workouts make them too fat, which is completely wrong. When you’re really considering that you’ll turn into a muscular behemoth, then you may try steroidal drugs, but actually you don’t have to try this. Simply experience the stronger, thinner and defined muscle mass you get from the gym workouts.

Controlling the breathe: This is the most common mistake that every beginner makes. Proper breathing is essential when you do lifts. When you think that the exercise is new for you, eventually you will concentrate more on doing the workout correctly and thus ignoring breathing. When you perform lifting, you should do exhalation on the positive phase and inhalation on the negative phase. Breath holding raises your blood pressure and holding the breath for longer time causes fainting.

Setting the personal music system on higher volume level: Some people want to use their personal music systems instead of hearing to the music at the gym. It is the fact that music improves spirit and energy, but only when you hear it in normal volume levels. Generally, headsets generate over 100 dBA. Keeping the volume level above 85 dBA can cause temporary injury or permanent hearing difficulties.

Beginning with larger weights: Stay away from lifting heavy weights in your initial visits to the gym. Even though your muscles are able to lift heavy weights, the connective cells are not prepared for it. Better to practice with lower weights by doing higher number of repetitions during the initial stages and gradually practice with heavier weights, mainly it is important with the workouts such as bench press or any shoulder workouts.

Not drinking enough water: Drinking sufficient water is very much essential because our blood is filled with 85% water, brain with 75% and muscles with 70%. Don’t drink when you feel thirsty, you should drink enough water before, during and after your every workout session. For more information, visit our Powerhouse gym and fitness center
